Auntie Alicia's Graduation!

Last weekend we celebrated Auntie Alicia's graduation from law school. We are so proud of her and know how hard she's worked for this achievement. It was great to see Auntie Mary who was here to celebrate too.

Mother's Day 2009

On Mother's Day we made our first trip to Como Zoo this year. The kids were thrilled that the rides were open, even though it was a bit chilly. We had a great day together and then met Jack's family for a nice dinner. Mother's Day is always one of my favorite days of the year. I love everything about being a mom. I feel so blessed to have Stella and Charlie, words can't express.

Milwaukee weekend

Our family flew to Milwaukee this past weekend for Aunt Marian's funeral. It was truly a Wisconsin funeral, complete with karaoke and dancing in a smoky bar. Although, we traveled there for a sad event, we had some good times visiting with everyone and starting a new tradition (the official wiener dog hat). Everyone voted Mom the biggest wiener dog of all- so she got the hat to start off with. Stella had a chance to show off many dance moves and harmonica talents. This was the first time that the kids were on an airplane, so that was also pretty exciting for them.

MEXICO 2009

We were lucky enough to get away to Mexico for a vacation. Jack and I met my parents and my sister and her boyfriend at a beautiful resort in the Riviera Maya area. Lots of fruity drinks, guacamole, snorkeling, spa time, rest and relaxation was had by all. We had such a great time, we can't wait to get back again. It was really nice to get away for a short time but we missed the kids so much by the end of the trip and couldn't wait to get home!

HAPPY EASTER 2009!

We had a great Easter weekend and enjoyed some beautiful weather. The kids had a blast on Saturday at an egg hunt and carnival. Face painting was definitely a highlight for Stella. Our day began very early when Stella woke up excited to look for her basket. After church we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for yet another egg hunt and some great food.

A Visit to the Dentist

Last week we had a family appointment at the Dentist. Stella was great and stayed very still the whole time. Charlie loved riding in the chair but is not ready for any dental cleaning quite yet. Luckily we know the Dentist, so it's always a fun and very special time!
