Last week we made it to our first Twins game of the year. We took the Light rail from the mall, which was an experience all in itself. Surprisingly, we stayed through the entire game. The kids kept busy with a new snack every inning practically. Charlie loved clapping and cheering after every play. Luckily, we have a good friend that works for the Twins, so he moved us down closer to the field from our original nosebleed seats. We had such a great time and can't believe next year we'll get the watch the Twins outside! We can't wait!
Now that I have off on Fridays, I've been taking the kids to the beach or the pool every week. We've had so much fun enjoying the beautiful summer and having special Mommy time. The kids had a blast with new friends Georgia and Olivia at this man-made beach we found. I love the summer!
We had a great weekend at the cabin for the 4th of July! The kids had so much fun playing with their cousin Sofia. Lots of swimming and boat rides. Charlie preferred to watch the boat rides from the dock. The Pequot Lakes parade was fun and Stella collected a huge bag of candy- just what we needed. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We can't wait to go back soon!
I know that this is belated....but better late than never. Happy Father's Day to Jack. Our children are blessed to have such a loving and involved father. Master griller, fisher, soccer coach, book reader, puzzle maker, colorer, singer, best lawn mower, dancer and much more to come that I can't wait to see. We love you very much.
Yesterday Stella had a party with some of her friends at a huge park called Chutes and Ladders. It was sunny and hot out. Luckily the kids cooled off in the sprinklers at the park after a vomit incident. Letting the kids ride on the tire swing for too long= not a good idea. Lesson learned. Stella had a great time and said on the ride home that she wants to have her party there again next year with her friends.
Stella had many birthday celebrations over this past week. Turning five has been very exciting! We celebrated in Wisconsin with my family last weekend. On the way there we decided to stop in the Dells for a "duck" ride. Stella thought it was cool, but Charlie was scared most of the ride! The weather was beautiful on Saturday and the kids spent most of the party in the pool! We had another birthday party on Stella's actual birthday, the 16th, at our house. Even though it was pouring out, we still had a great time. I even made a homemade cake this year! Stella had a party with her friends yesterday. More to come on that. I can't believe she's five...time is flying by.
